Press Release

On November 3rd, the Grant Park Fire District is introducing an initiative on the ballot that will help us address 3 critical areas of the Fire District.  With limited funding over the years, lack of growth and development in our community and unfunded mandates that have come down on fire departments the Fire District has no other choice but to come ask for help.  The ballot initiative will cover apparatus replacement, avoid staffing cuts, and fund equipment that is required through these recently released unfunded mandates.  To become more informed, we ask that you look through the information here and become educated on what our needs are and how important this ballot initiative is to continue a quality fire and ems service.

What will It Cost?

The ballot question is passed is factored per $100,000.00 value.  For every $100k, the increase would be .32 per day per $100k or $116.67 annually.
